Naughty Naughty!

I have been trying to save money recently but I haven't been able to curb my makeup addiction! However I have tried to be somewhat savvy about my purchases!

The Mac buys were from blog sales and I got them at bargain prices and they have hardly been used! The MUA stuff was off their website where they had an offer if you bought a Lip Boom for £3.00 and you got an Ultimate collection for free! I also popped the Mosaic Blush in my basket too as I had seen on someone s blog it was a dupe for Benefits Hervana!

Mac Quad - Caviar Dreams - £15 (Blog sale)
Mac MSF - Porcelain Pink - £13 (Blog sale)
MUA Mosaic Blush - English Rose - £2.50
MUA Ultimate Collection - £8.00 (but I got it free)
MUA Lip Boom - Cheeky - £3.00

I am actually really impressed with the MUA products. I have never used any of them before but will be purchasing some more in the future! They appear to be well pigmented for the price. I haven't had much use out of them at the moment but can't see me having many issues with them!

The only thing I am not too keen on is that the Lip Boom was sealed my with some awful stickers which left icky sticky stuff on the tube which looks awful and no doubt will pick any fluff or whatever up in the bottom of a bag!
Ugh.
I hate sticky stuff! That and the gloss has quite a lot of glitter in it. I will probably wear it on a night out but think I will leave it out for the day time!

Even though these were quite cheap I think I should keep my purse in my bag for a while...I HAVE ENOUGH! I DO NOT NEED IT!
(...maybe :P)

My worst nightmare!

So I posted the other week about me having an infected tooth.
Today was the day that pesky thing was to come out and indeed it did.
I am sat here now with my pasty white face and a sore jaw.

This post is aptly named as I am one of those people who ALWAYS dream about having my teeth either pulled out or they just fall out. Now I know this is suppose to signify something else but not for me, no way!
When I have dreams about my teeth falling out it is because I am genuinely petrified of it!

You can imagine the state I had worked myself up to by the time I got into the dental surgery. I was convinced I was going to be in there for hours and that it would be extremely painful. I had also convinced myself I would look like I should be on Jeremy Kyle as I would have bad teeth!
I am fully aware that having a tooth out is not a massive big deal in the grand scheme of things but for me as someone who is insecure and not happy with how I look at the best of times this is very much a big deal for me!

Having said this....I was in the dentist chair for approx 10min, it popped out all in one pull, it didn't cause lots of pain and when I smile you can't even see that it is gone!

I am eating like a fool and it is sore and annoying but I am sure I will be fine.

But lets make one thing very clear...I DO NOT WANT THIS HAPPENING AGAIN!

I am going to be very strict with the sugars I am eating and how I look after my teeth from now on.
As I put in my last post, I do look after my teeth well but for some reason they just seem to be crap! I am going to make all the efforts I can to keep them as healthy as possible.

I am lucky enough to be registered with an NHS dentist and on a whole they are pretty good and I visit ever 6 months for a check up.

If you don't visit the dentist or are putting it off please go! You have probably all seen this advert...

*Picture from here*

...well it is serious!

Now everyone go clean your teeth or I will post pictures of my missing tooth!!!

Pastel Hearts

I just wanted to show you these!

All those bakers out there need to get to TKmaxx and by these Miniamo silicone heart shaped cupcake moulds for £2.99!

I can't wait to use them. Think I may do raspberry and white chocolate chip with whipped cream topping :D

Or any other suggestions?!

When it's time to party we will party hard!

I have been sat listening to songs they use to play when I use to go out at uni.

I use to do some awesome dancing to these!

Just wanted to share the love and tell everyone to party hard!

You're only young once so appreciate it while you can!

Things may seem important now but in the grand scheme of things life is short people!

(This post was pretty pointless but hey ho!)

My rubbish week...

My rubbish week started on Monday. I started with a headache on my drive back to university which 3 hours later developed into a massive headache.

On Tuesday I quickly found out the cause of this headache was my infected tooth as it started to be immensely painful to the point I wanted to cry!
Instead of crying I rang the dentist up and got an appointment for the following day.

So on Wednesday I take my sorry ass down to the dentist...
'There is nothing more we can do for your tooth, take these antibiotics and make an appointment for and extraction'.

YES! AN EXTRACTION!
I am going to be a gummy bear (sad sad sad face!).
Luckily I think the tooth is far enough back that you wont be able to see it (I hope!).

So I was kinda okay with that because it has been infected on and off for the past year and it has already been root filled and crowned so I guess there is no other solution other than to rip the bugger out!

Thursday was okay and I managed to control the fluctuating pain with Paracetamol and Diclofenac in the day and Codeine at night.

Friday and today however, have been a different story! The right side of my face has swollen so I now look like a hamster pocketing food, my mouth has dropped and the pain is tremendous!

OUCHY!

I am taking Codeine and Diclofenac and it isn't even touching the pain!
I am going to give it till I have had my course of antibiotics which finish on Monday and if it is still this bad I am going to the dentist, even if I have to go to the out of hours dentist because I cannot wait much longer to have it out!

I just felt the need to vent this out because I am not to good when it comes to pain! I feel the need to share it!

If you have any dental problems and keep putting off getting them sorted (even though I go ever 6 months!!!) please go and get it looked at or you could be in pain too!

Please save my skin!

So the inevitable has happened. The honeymoon period is over!

When my skin gets use to a cleanser, toner or moisturiser it starts to break out in its own special way.
I get redness, dryness and red bumps as soon as I am halfway through a cleanser. I never get actual spots just general ugly skin!

So I have gone from the Benefit’s face wash for a few years, then Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish to Elemis Sensitive Facial Wash.

Now it is time for a swicharoon!

I wanted to try some more Elemis as I do really enjoy using their products. I have been looking at their Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser for a while now but it is £27 a pop so looked around for something similar but cheaper!  Well I couldn’t find anything cheaper that I wanted to try but I did find a good deal!

Elemis anti-ageing cleansing collection.

So I know I am not the oldest person in the world but this collection has -

Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser 150ml
Soothing Apricot Toner (which is my regular toner anyway) 200ml
Papaya Enzyme Peel  50ml
Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 15ml
A face cloth
A wash bag

This set was £33.60 from timetospa.co.uk in the sale. All the products if bough on their own would have come to £96.50! The set originally was priced at £48 so I think I found a super bargain!

I will try out the cleanser and let you all know how it goes! Hopefully it will banish my red horrible skin!

Friends with Benefit

I walked past the Benefit counter in my local Boots the other day and seen as there was no sales girl at the counter I decided to have a browse. I am a shopper who likes to look by myself and if I want help I will ask for it. I don’t like being pounced on as soon as a glance over at the stand.
When I started looking at their range I realised I actually own or have previously owned A LOT of their products!
I have always been a fan of Benefit, even though I haven’t got on with all of their products the ones I have I absolutely LOVE!
Here are the products I currently own from Benefit –

Powders –

Dandelion
10
Sugarbomb
Throbb
Georgia
Powderazzi (not pictured) – Hoola, Coralista and Dallas

Cheeks –

Benetint
High Beam

Eyes –

Browzings – 01
Browzings – Medium
Bad gal Plum
Smokin’ Eyes Palette
Sparkling Eye Powder – Merengue and Swing

Pencils –

Eyeliner –Onyx
You’re Bluffing! – Redness Concealing Wand
Eye Bright
Mr. Frosty

Skin Care -

“Honey…snap out of it!” Scrub – Morning exfoliating facial cleanser
Foamingly Clean Facial Wash

I do use all of these but the ones I use most often are –
Eye Bright – I use this in my waterline every day, it really opens them up and when I am getting ready at 6am it makes me look like I have had 10 hours sleep! This is my third of these!
“Honey…snap out of it!” Scrub – I have used this for four years now, this tube has lasted me over a year. I use it once a week, just a small about for a nice little exfoliate! You can use this as a mask but I don’t feel like I need to. It smells amazingly edible but trust me it’s not!
Dallas face powder – I bought this Powderazzi box from a blog sale and I have pretty much used Dallas every day since. It is a gorgeous powder which is a cross between a bronze and a blush. I use it quite lightly as a blush and it brings a lovely glow to face!

I recently bought Sugarbomb from another blog sale and I think this may over take Dallas but I shall give it a few more weeks to see! I bought Sugarbomb from a blog sale for £14.50 and to be honest I think I will only buy Benefits face powders in blog sales or when they are in a sale as I think they are very over priced for what they are. I could get 2 MAC blushes for not much more than what you pay for the new Benefit boxes and they are smaller than the ones I have in my collection.

These are some products I have used in the past, some of them I liked and others I didn’t!

You Rebel – Too dark so I sold it!
You Rebel Light – Still too dark!
Erase Paste – Creased a lot so I sold this too.
Get Even – I did really like this and I would buy it again in the future.
Boing – Really liked and will be repurchasing after I have used my other concealers.
Bad Gal – Liked but probably wouldn’t repurchase
Bad Gal Blue – Really like but I feel I looked a bit too 80’s!
That Gal – Best primer I have used but I tend not to need it these days.
Some Kinda Gorgeous – Too dark so I sold it.
Lemonaid – This is good for hangover days but I felt it slid a bit throughout the day.

If I have pots of money then I will probably try more things from Benefit but I think for the price I would need to be sure I wanted it before buying.

If anyone has any recommendations of products which are a must have from Benefit please let me know!
